Gravel driveways and roads that drain well and hold up through the wet season & READY FOR ASPHALT.

A driveway or road is only as good as what's underneath it. Rockridge builds driveways, private roads and parking lots with proper subgrade, drainage and compacted base, so they don't rut, pothole or wash out after one winter.

Driveway and road FAQ

Why do gravel driveways get potholes? Usually water. Without a crown, ditches or culverts, water sits on the surface and softens the base. Fixing drainage is often the key to a lasting repair. Road fabric is also an important step in the construction process. It prevents the rock from getting mixed into and loss in the wet subgrade.

Do I need fabric under my driveway? On soft or wet soils, geotextile fabric keeps rock from sinking into the mud and makes the driveway last much longer. We recommend using it on any installation in the dry or wet season

Can you fix my existing driveway? Yes. We regrade, add drainage and resurface with fresh rock.

Do you pave? We prepare the subgrade and base to spec, and finish grade so its ready for the paving contractor. However we do generally preform our own trench restoration paving.
